"Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole." ~Roger Caras
We are dedicated to true excellence in veterinary medicine. Our mission is to provide the very best primary care veterinary care possible to pets and their families in the Morgantown, WV region.
At Animal Medical Center, we understand that in order to provide your pets with the medical care they need, we must not only provide excellent medical services and have the most capable staff possible, but we also must take the time and care to provide the owners who bring us their pets with thoughtful and respectful client service.
We are honored by the trust our clients place in us by choosing us to provide care for their furry family members. We work hard every day to continue to deserve your confidence and to exceed your expectations.
We offer comprehensive veterinary services including wellness care, dental care, general soft tissue surgery, spay and neuter surgeries, pet adoptions, boarding, behavioral medicine, puppy, dog and kitten training behavior classes and many other services.
We know that to be able to best determine your pet's medical needs, we must first take the time to learn from you about your pet's medical history. We are always willing to take the time needed to explain your pet's condition and to discuss your options for best caring for your pet. If you would like more information about our practice or have any questions or comments, please call or e-mail us. We're always happy to answer your questions!

Our Healthy Pet Adoption Program
Our Healthy Pet Adoption Program helps match loving families with needy, healthy pets. We provide our adoptive pets with all medically appropriate wellness care while they are in our care. All pets are quarantined for at least 7 days to ensure that they are free of signs of illness before we offer them for placement in a home. Illnesses and parasites we screen and/or treat before release from quarantine include: internal and external parasites (worms, ear mites, fleas, etc.), overall health/illnesses and contagious diseases. In cats, we also screen for feline leukemia and FIV (feline AIDS). In dogs, we also screen for kennel cough and parvovirus.
We provide exams and baths, administer initial doses of appropriate vaccinations, flea and tick medications, dewormers, heart worm preventative and any other medically appropriate care. Of course, every pet gets plenty of TLC!!
When your pet goes home with you, he or she may need one or more additional wellness visits
(depending on their age and how long they were in our care) to complete their puppy or kitten series of vaccine boosters.
