The West Virginia Vein & Skin Centers is the only location in the state performing EVLT (Endovenous Laser Treatment) by Diomed. George E. Lovegrove,M.D. and his associates have been performing EVLT since 2001 and have performed more procedures than any other vein center in the United States. EVLT is used to treat the large painful varicose veins caused by incompetent valves in the greater or lesser saphenous veins. EVLT has replaced the traditional painful surgical vein stripping procedures. EVLT is FDA approved and now reimbursed by all commercial insurances, Medicare, and West Virginia Medicaid programs.
