American Block started out as Valley Block Company in Rich Creek, VA in the early 1940s. In 1954, Valley Block changed the name of its company to American Block Company of Rich Creek, VA. In 1958, the name was changed again to American Block Company, Inc. In 1982, Eastern Vault Company acquired American Block Company and is now the subsidiary company of Eastern Vault Company. Due to the out-growth of the business, in 1994, American Block Company expanded to its current location in Princeton, WV to produce 25,000 blocks per day. American Block Company has been in business for over 60 years supplying standard and architectural concrete masonry building and retaining wall blocks to our surrounding states.
