Clarksburg Travel Service is the only travel service left in downtown Clarksburg. We are a family run office that has been around since 1957. Geoff and Brenda Millstone are on-site owners that are available to help you with a simple flight reservation or around the world tour.
We are in the process of updating our computer system to the newest version of GALILEO. This will allow us the full power of the Cendent Family to get you the best quality travel in the market. We do charge a minimal service charge for airline tickets, but our clients rave at how we usually have better fares than the internet. "PEOPLE THINK" while internet sites sell towards their bias programs.
If you are in the need of vacation travel, we simply are the best. We know our cruises, we are the only agency in the area with Golden Apple Status with Apple Vacations and we dare anybody to take on Geoff when it comes to Disney World. He is a Disney freak and is great with the last minute vacations.
Check out our MOVIN" MOUNTAINEER section. These trips are for the senior citizens of North Central WV. We will be running busses from 10 different senior citizen centers to join small groups into larger groups to take advantage of group discounts.
1957 - We opened our doors in the smallest office in Clarksburg next to the rear entrance of Parson's Souders. The office was opened by Bennett Millstone, who soon moved to Morgantown and Richard Millstone took over the reins for the next 35 years.
1964 - This was the year that Central WV really learned how to use a travel agency. The airlines of the world went on strike and the corporate world came to a grinding stop. Dick worked 20 hours a day to move people around the world on the two remaining airlines. Ruth Millstone joined the office staff on a full time basis.
1971 - Clarksburg Travel Service became the first Agency outside of New York to have an in office reservation system.
1973 - Maxine Bumgardner joined the staff and WOW was the office getting crowded. Then Geoff Millstone moved in and really had to stand when a customer came into the office. We were making more income per square inch than any business in WV. Time to move.
1974 - We moved to our current location at 124 South Fourth Street, where we have survived all these years.
2010 - Geoffrey and Brenda Millstone are still running the tours, doing the paper work and enjoying our customers. We still love our clients and enjoy hearing thier travel stories. Tina has joined our staff and has added a lot of fun to the reservation process.
