First Sunday in Advent featured a variety of music provided by the Vance Special Music fund
The Vance Special Music Fund is made possible by a generous gift from an anonymous donor to enhance the traditional worship music at our services.

A spectacular array of music glorified God this Sunday with the return of the Vance Choir after summer break, special rededication of the Steinway Grand piano, and worship music from violinist Ben Podolski, soloist Dr. Linda Cowan, and Debbie Barlow and Judy Allison on piano.
You can see pictures of the Steinway--which was completely refurbished thanks to the gift of a generous benefactor--in the photo gallery to the right (click the photos to enlarge).

BECOMING A JOYFUL COMMUNITY AT WORSHIP
The session encourages the congregation to sit together as a community of faith. Sitting in an oversized sanctuary, isolated and apart from each other we are not likely to experience the energy and joy of corporate worship. When you enter the sanctuary, we encourage you to look for ways to close the gaps and come together. We understand if you have health or physical concerns and need to sit apart and hope in the future you will be able to join us in striving to become a united, joyful community of faith at worship.
