Dr. Sherwin Miller is originally from Portsmouth, Ohio, where he graduated from Portsmouth High School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic (St. Louis, Missouri). He also has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Marshall University (Huntington, West Virginia). He is very active in the community and has volunteered both time and money to local events and organizations to help improve the community. Dr. Miller became interested in Chiropractic when he suffered a serious back injury while lifting weights. Soon after he went to the chiropractor he was again competing in powerlifting. That experience left a lasting impression on him. And from that he knew he wanted to become a chiropractor.
He has been very fortunate during his career as a Chiropractor to have had the opportunity to help so many people. Daily in his practice he will see adults as well as children with conditions like low back pain (including herniated and bulging discs) sciatic pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, arthritis, shoulder pain, arm pain, whiplash injuries and even pregnant women just to name a few. Dr. Miller uses his knowledge in exercise physiology to decrease the recovery time of the injured patient. In the office he has a complete exercise room where he tailors programs to meet the specific needs of every patient.
"There is an overwhelming body of evidence indicating that chiropractic management of low-back pain is more cost-effective than medical management."
